Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find my Customer Number?

Your customer number can be found on any correspondence received by letter of email. If you subscribe to the print edition it can also be found on the wrap that your magazine arrives in. Customer numbers are 12 digits long and begin with 0016.

How do I notify you about a change of address?

Simply log in at https://myaccount.theoldie.co.uk/login.aspx and update your address details online. Or email help@subscribe.theoldie.co.uk giving your name and old address details and your subscriber number if you have it and, of course, your new address details.

Please give us as much notice as possible so that we can update our records in time for your moving date - at least a week if you can.

Am I able to suspend my subscription?

Subscriptions can be suspended at any time by email or telephone. If a subscription is suspended and you have digital access, this will also be suspended.

What is your data protection statement?

The Oldie collects your data so that we can fulfil your subscription. You will also receive the free, optional weekly newsletter. We may also, from time to time, send you details of Oldie offers, events and competitions, but you always have a choice and can opt out by emailing us at help@subscribe.theoldie.co.uk. We do not share with (or sell) your data to third parties. Details you share with us will be managed as described in our Privacy Policy here: https://www.theoldie.co.uk/about-us/privacy.

Pound sterling is the only available currency when purchasing a subscription to The Oldie.

What debit/ credit cards do you accept as payment ?

Maestro, Visa and MasterCard

When will I receive my first issue of The Oldie?

The Oldie is published every 4 weeks. Your print subscription will usually start with the next available issue. Digital subscribers also get access to the current issue by entering their order number. This number begins with E and can be found on the order confirmation.

How do I renew my subscription?

If your original order was by Direct Debit your subscription will automatically renew until you decide to cancel. If you ordered a subscription using a cheque or credit/debit card, we will send you a reminder giving you plenty of time to renew ahead of your final issue.

Why is my annual direct debit leaving my account before the full year has finished?

The Oldie is published every 4 weeks, not every month. There are therefore 13 issues published in a year but subscriptions are typically sold on a 12 (or 6) issue-basis, not a calendar year.
